Leo Schneider

(born: 10th December 1887)

Leo Schneider was born on the 10 December 1887 in Sidra/Poland. He was Esther and Hillel’s third child. In the 1920s he emigrated to Palestine to teach mathematics, art and German in a Jewish school. With his first wife, the lawyer Hulda Berman, Leo had a son, Aluf. After the divorce, Leo married a woman named Frieda. This marriage produced a son, Uri Schneider. Leo’s third wife, Enoosh, came from Hungary. She died very early of cancer. Leo was diabetic, as a result of which he lost his leg. He died in a hospital in Haifa.
